Often, many people find themselves halted or stuck in life not because of external factors but rather because they themselves hinder their growth. There are several thinking patterns that make someone pessimistic or lacking in confidence, leading to easily giving up on endeavors in life.

Two thinking patterns that make you pessimistic
- Generalization
Generalization occurs when we try to generalize various things or everything based on just one of our experiences. For example, if you're trying to sell something and your product is rejected by someone, you might immediately judge or generalize that you will never succeed in the field of sales.
Often, individuals generalize themselves, hindering their own development. A negative generalization occurs when we cannot or have not yet achieved something, and then we generalize it to everything. However, not everything we do will immediately succeed. Making negative generalization is like building a barrier to our own growth and development. Therefore, you must be aware of yourself when making generalization.
- Negative Assumptions
Negative assumptions occur when we haven't or are about to do something, but we already think that we will not succeed in it. Negative assumptions within ourselves need to be reduced or eliminated. Instead of making negatitive assumptions, it's better to make positive assumptions when starting something. Rather than thinking we will fail, it's better to think that we will definitely succeed and get something good out of what we're going to do.
Thinking that we will fail before doing something is an example of not believing in oneself. If we ourselves cannot believe in our abilities, how can others trust us? However, in various aspects of life, we need to gain trust from others for mutually beneficial relationships to flourish.

Conclusion
A pessimistic mindset can be interpreted as a lack of belief in oneself. Thinking patterns that lead someone to always think pessimistically include generalizing one failure to assume that everything they will do will follow that failure and always making negative assumptions about everything that has not happened yet. When someone thinks they will fail before starting something, they are already stepping towards that failure. Therefore, as much as possible, we should eliminate pessimistic thinking patterns within ourselves that can hinder us from continuing to grow and develop.
